Off the couch! This was one of those where my subconscious noticed something early on, packed it away, then rolled it all out later as one integrated whole. Wonderful puzzle.

Off the couch! Great puzzle - the grid alone was a lot of fun to do, and the meta made it even better. Nice one, Brian!

Off the couch! Needed a bit of help just like in real life these days. Very enjoyable. Thanks, Brian.

The BigMan confirms. Another smoothie, even with the funny SE.

Nudge Wednesday 1 of 3:

One title I considered was "Crown Jewel Cases" which would have been a hint to connect royalty with music.

Envious, here in the fog. From our Ann Arbor days we fondly recall jaunts to Saugatuck, Grand Haven, and other spots along the shore. Enjoy it!

Will need the nudge trifecta, apparently. Made connections but can't assemble the bits and/or pieces.

I still have nothing. PM'd hints/help/shoves welcome.

Update: thanks for the people who offered help, much appreciated.

That is a well-done puzzle! Saying any more would venture into spoilerville. I'd say 2.5 Gaffneys - a heretofore undefined unit of measure; but we know how good one Gaffney is!! Cheers!

Off the couch pretty lazily on this one! I filled the grid on Monday out and didn't have much time to put into it, but also had a typo in the grid that would've made step 1 more obvious had it been correct. I relied on the third nudge to take me to the solution. I was pretty impatient in going for the spoilers today. Thanks for another MMM puzzle!

Nudge #1 helped, but then I hit a wall. I then stared at nudges 2 & 3 for a moment -- "What the heck does that mean? These nudges are useless!" -- before slapping my forehead.

I needed the nudges, but still happy to be OTC! Lovely construction.

Did the WSJ puzzle and then tackled this one. I too needed all the nudges! Thanks, Brian! And 1D certainly took me back to my younger days.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!
