Per the xwordcontest website:

This week’s contest answer is a creature frequently found in crossword grids.

I wonder if anyone has/will submit an answer before the puzzle actually comes out

The answer MUGGLE would be apt. Big hint: that's not this week's actual answer.

When you say you "have" an anomaly, you mean an anomaly in the grid? I don't know what you're referring to so I'm going to say I don't... but PM me what you mean if you want - I'm curious.

Beam me up.

Good thing I didn’t guess before seeing the puzzle as I’d have been wrong.

I was worried for a minute since I don't think I've even heard of the game, but beam me up!

Phew safe on the shore. I was really doubting myself for a moment there, wasn't seeing things I should have. I'm 4 for 4 on these now since I signed up last month! Patiently waiting to be humbled very soon...

Beam me up. I feel like I started my day an hour late today. Meg or Heidi, please message me with the anomaly that you see. Please all have a safe and healthy weekend—Happy Easter and Passover.

No anomaly. Just an addlepated mind. Haven’t started drinking yet, so I can’t blame it on that.

Solved.

Had an anomaly, until I checked here, then duckduckgoed. I have started drinking, FWIW.
