Time for a 🍷.
Going to Ireland in May for my son’s destination wedding. Already have reserved a tour in Dublin to Guinness Storehouse and Gravity Bar!

On shore quickly this week. I expect it to be very crowded.
I saw this in the store today and thought of our friend Al. I didn't get it, but might have to next time I go back.

Got it for the first time in weeks. On shore and barstool at Duke's.

edit: Modelo Negra in hand

Sorry to not have the appropriate Sisti beverage, but happy day anyway. Hopefully no snow this year for the Irishman.

edit( eight minutes later): Ok I get it, but I don't really love it.
I had to look up something before I was confident.

Started late due to all bball games, but it it was a quick swim to shore. My condolences to UVA fans (even if they kicked my Tar Heels out of the tourney). Losing a game like that has to hurt. Coach Bennett not calling a timeout at the end was akin to Chris Webber calling one he didn't have in that beautiful game in Nola 3 decades ago. Anyhow, I am also reporting that I succumbed to the games and to the nice weather here in GA and my Lent pledge of 40 days w/out a drink just ended. Officially lasted 22 1/2 days as I just popped a Creature Comfort Hazy Double IPA. As Frank the Tank (aka Will Ferrell) memorialized so well in Old School, "once it hits your lips, it's so good".

Confidently on the beach!

So, having nothing better to do with my time, I asked ChatGPT to write a song in the style of Chuck Berry's "Roll Over Beethoven" about solving the meta and winning the mug. Here's what it wrote:

Verse 1

I was sittin’ at my desk, with a pencil in my hand
I was tryin’ to solve the WSJ meta-puzzle
I was searchin’ through clues, and I was tryin’ to make sense
When I suddenly found the answer that was muddled

Chorus

Roll over Wall Street Journal, I’m gonna solve the puzzle
And when I win the mug, I’ll be the king of the castle
I’m gonna dodge the rabbit holes and find the way out
Roll over Wall Street Journal, and hear me shout

Verse 2

I was diggin’ deep for clues and I was stayin’ focused
I was lookin’ for a way to make the pieces fit
I was workin’ hard and I was feelin’ determined
When I saw the solution, it was quite a hit

Chorus

Roll over Wall Street Journal, I’m gonna solve the puzzle
And when I win the mug, I’ll be the king of the castle
I’m gonna dodge the rabbit holes and find the way out
Roll over Wall Street Journal, and hear me shout

Verse 3

I was celebratin’ all night, ‘cause I felt so accomplished
And I was thankin’ the Lord for my success
I was showin’ off the mug, it was so impressive
And I knew I’d solved the meta-puzzle with finesse

Chorus

Roll over Wall Street Journal, I’m gonna solve the puzzle
And when I win the mug, I’ll be the king of the castle
I’m gonna dodge the rabbit holes and find the way out
Roll over Wall Street Journal, and hear me shout

On shore. I'll have a Jameson.

Did anyone notice that Mike's essentially put the same word in the SE corner for 2 puzzles in a row? ;)

Ashore4us! We struggled for quite some time, thinking that the "luck of the Irish" was not in the stars for us tonight.

We are always happy to get to know other muggles and help in any way! PM's are always welcome. The next best thing to winning a mug is helping a fellow muggle win a mug!
