Ashore!!! Felt like I was at sea most of the morning driving through the S Florida thunderstorms. Glad to be on dry land!

I totaled things up but forgot to post and time got away from me. So with the updated few from noon time, we have 11 on the ship and 84 on the shore.

Wow! Don’t think I would have solved without someone pointing out a certain thing. That small nudge and then it all falls together. Ashore now and a glass of red a bit later.

I see what I think is the theme... maybe... but I'll be darned if I am finding the device to come up with an 8 letter answer! I'll be here on ship trying to find the right current to bring me to shore until the zoom. :)

Ashore, solved and submitted. It's spring break here, and I completely forgot that the puzzle was out yesterday! Satisfying click and swim to shore!

Solved this morning after a lightest of starter nudges from Mr. Abide. Much of what I was noticing in the grid makes sense now that I know the mech, but some of it very very strange coincidence. On the shore and glad to have a breather before the other Gaffney drops ( delayed til tomorrow). Coffee and Baileys I think .. it’s a brisk, wet spring day (Irish, in other words).
