USA Today - "6/1"
Monday's USA Today crossword, which was both dated and titled "6/1," was, a bit under-the-radar, a meta. And it was an excellent one! No instructions provided, you just have to figure it out.
You can find the puzzle at https://puzzles.usatoday.com/ (wait through the ad, then click on the icon that looks like a small bit of a crossword grid to navigate to past puzzles.)

I may be missing something, but I don't think it's a meta in the sense of a puzzle that has a further answer.

The constructor tweeted "it's a meta" - https://twitter.com/faBioethics/status/ ... 4686361601
You may be missing something ... hard to tell without being spoiler-y. I certainly derived a very nice answer to what felt like a metapuzzle to me. (I could write a prompt for it but again, to do so would give hints that it seems to me were intended to be sussed out rather than nudged at.)

Did you do 6/1 or It’s Tee Time? You have to do 6/1. I did the wrong one.

Oops! Tee time indeed. Thanks! . . . And it is a fun one indeed.

I did the Tee Time one by mistake too... and now I can't get to the 6/1 puzzle (I couldn't find a way to get past puzzles on the USA Today site).

Go to the link above and then click on the tiny crossword in the top right. You can go backwards from there.

Very nice - and I don’t think I’ve quite seen this mechanism before. Enjoyed it a lot.
