A little oddness in the mechanism as I'm interpreting it? But 100% on the answer anyway. Not a fun grid!

On the board. I didn't think the grid was too bad; there was only one section where I confirmed a couple letters with Google.

Beam me up! That was fun. I think I found the way to interpret it that makes the most sense.
(It's not that the grid was intrinsically difficult, it's just that you had to keep jumping around in the clues!)

Done. Not too bad, except I was missing one piece for the longest time as I had overlooked something that made the answer come together.

Got it. That was a lot of fun. I actually enjoyed all the jumping around the grid. Neat meta.

I also got it quickly, rather fun to follow the trail, even if all the jumping around to solve the puzzle was a bit frustrating.

Beam me up! Enjoyed the grid and the search thoroughly. I think the jumping around, while breaking up the usual flow, added some freshness to a standard crossword solve.

Mistake #1 make a wrong assumption.
Mistake #2 spend long minutes trying to make reality fit my wrong assumption. Why do I still do this??
So, I backed up and started again. Voila!

Another well thought out mechanism by Matt. I wonder whether he keeps pen and paper by his bedside for middle of the night thoughts. His mind must be constantly thinking “meta”.

Fun week 2. I showed it to my son and wife and they asked if I was speaking Finnish. Oh well, fun for me anyway.

I submitted something I am pretty sure has got to be the right answer, but I'm not quite connecting all the dots.

Stuck for awhile using a completely wrong mechanism. Then suddenly hit on the right one! Am waiting to be confirmed on the leaderboard, but I'm sure of our answer.
