My biggest mistake was getting in sight of the finish-with-a-Ten line. I keep telling myself that I really don't have that much time to spend on these things. One word in particular was, uh, you know - look-upable.

I think I'm playing this wrong. I can get all 8 words in 12 tries almost every time by starting with the same four words that use 20 letters of the alphabet. Effective, but not that much fun.

I completely understand. Each of us will have a personal definition of Octowordle Fun. For some, it will be getting the 8 words before you crash and burn. For me, it was making a Ten. That means I start with two words that use the ten most frequent letters and go from there. It also means I stare at the possibilities a *lot* - I do a lot of "these letters are known to be in this place and these letters might be in that place" diagrams. All because no misses are allowed after those first two words. And that approach may not be any fun at all for some.
