I have been hit and miss lately on metas (actually more miss than hit). Pick it up, put it down, pick it up…you get the message.
While waiting for a cuppa, I picked it up one more time tonight. I think I finally got it. Really enjoyed the mechanism, too.
Waiting for confirmation.

Health and happiness to all of you and your loved ones. May we all win a mug in 2022!

I did submit on Crosshare. I did it again this morning. Do I need to submit directly as well?

In any case this was a great meta. I only wish I had been able to figure it out without needing help. I found a couple of amazing convoluted rabbit trails to follow.

Pretty sure I got it, thanks to the muggles zoom meeting. I do not yet have the ability to think like a meta constructor. Is it a learned skill?

Heard the answer last night on the muggle call, but saw the mechanism this morning after taking a second look. Very cool. Thanks Peter! And Merry Christmas!

Wouldn't normally do this, but when it's a life goal to be part of any solver list with Matt Gaffney...
I am confirmed OTC per PM to Peter after post #7.
Too many michael+m muggles username combinations out there.

Just reporting in that I solved this one DURING the zoom call. The answer was already in my head because I had arrived at it at via a completely different way, but knew that could not be the meta (no logic to it, just a very odd coincidence I think).

Off the couch, and here’s my Charlie Brown Christmas tree for the collection:

Off the couch, but needed the nudges. Good puzzle!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Off the couch. Confirmed on Crosshare.

Very clever. Took me a while to see it. Buy did solve prior to nudges.

Finally! Off the couch, post-Nudge #1. Stared at it with my wife for more time than I care to admit, as we traveled cross-country for Christmas. Still a nice AHA, nudge or no nudge, kudos to those who got it without. Cheers!
