This puzzle was just ducky --

Captureducky.PNG

But ya gotta put down the ducky if you wanna play the saxophone --

Capturecouchsaxon.PNG

But ya gotta put down the saxophone if you wanna do Bird's puzzle and get off the couch --

But a duck is a bird so.... I think I'm in a loop...

I submitted via PM going to sleep last night. I wake up this morning to post and it's already page 2! Off the couch, wondering perhaps what goes on at a US Easter celebration. Fun puzzle. Thanks, Jay!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Fun puzzle! Off the couch.
Easter and Passover overlap this year so a good holiday to all!
(Hope I don’t get in trouble with the Big Guy if I work on the WSJ this weekend….)

That was silly. But fun and very nicely done.
I guess I should change my signature, and start promoting this meta: Hungry Little Creature. I was going to sent it to people for testing but I dropped the ball on it.

There's a reason that Easter and Passover are at the same time!

They don't always line up, though.

Right, leap years in the Hebrew calendar add a whole MONTH, throwing things "off".

If you build it, they will come. A lot of them. Especially if you build it easy.. So as the sun sets on the first day of the MMM Anual Easter Puzzle, we have fifty-seven solvers.

Oh well, the intention was more to amuse than to baffle. But if you do want something to exercise your imagination, try sending (via PM) suggestions for other entries and clues that could have been part of the theme. (All submissions become the property of the MMM, so when we publish the book, we get to keep all the royalties.)

Whoops! Thought I was ashore but not on the list. Back to the drawing board.

Cutie, cute cute, just like baby bunnies and fluffy chicks. Never have seen the charm in this particular item, but definitely an Easter mainstay! Off the couch and out the door to check on my hens, who lay such a nice assortment of naturally colored eggs!

Well now me too! My whole family, including my grown-up sons, will burst into singing this at the mention of the word “duckie” OR “saxophone.”. We are now trying to indoctrinate the grands by exposing them to old Sesame Street Singalong VHS videos.
