"What's In Your Pocket?"
Good morning Muggles! The MMM team has another creative collab for you this week. I've gone from MMM 8/15/22 ("Back Pocket") to a prize from @Wendy Walker's robe pocket in MMM 9/19/22 ("Don't Overthink It!").
For the final part of this trilogy, presented here today, I needed two more co-constructors (tri-constructors?). @Cap'n Rick developed the grid, and the aforementioned Wendy handled the clues.
A special puzzle deserves a special prize. Again, from Wendy: "The lucky MMM winner will receive a piece of fabric art that, much like this meta, interrogates the tension between the whole and its parts. In other words, a tote bag knitted by one of the puzzle contributors."
Submit your answer to me or Wendy by Saturday 10pm EST. As usual, there will be nudges on Wednesday.
One final request: If you enjoy solving on crosshare, help keep the site running by donating a few bucks.
Meta Prompt: You are looking for two words (8 letters and 4 letters) associated with a pocket.

I might need to do this one on paper. (And not just for the cute pics on top:).
I’m seeing some .puz Puzzazz weirdness. Downloading the .puz file above, I get
When I get the .puz through crosshare, it does open put the blank areas at the bottom squares (with no numbers or clues).

If you want help with a meta, feel free to PM me. The more specific you are about what you have and what you want, the more likely I can help without spoiling.
(And if I help you win a mug, I’ll be especially delighted.)

I don't think Puzzazz can handle this one. Use Across Lite for the puz file.
The Crosshare link should work on Crosshare.org
These irregularities are unconnected to the meta, other than making a relevant shape.

This trio is, as the musicians say, in the pocket. For a while, I couldn't figure how eight becomes eight plus four. Must be those logarithms.

Off the couch! Thanks, MMM team. And thanks for the push to donate to Crosshare - I just set up a monthly donation. I'm grateful to Mike for that site (which is how I discovered xword-muggles.com in the first place).

Grid was fun.
I righted myself quickly after my first idea came up short.
Step one completed.
This should be… ?
Still staring.
