Interesting: 1st Wordle that hasn't been in the original nor the announced, revised database. Maybe I missed the news or the database is being expanded.

Interesting. I knew the database was shortened after the NYT purchase, reportedly in the cause of avoiding offense. Perfectly good word today. Could it have been removed first and added back later? NYT has its own boundaries of “offensiveness.”

From memory, the NYT Wordle editor deleted 7 Wordles and added the same number a few weeks after NYT took over. These were detailed at the time. I didn't think today's Wordle was one of those added.

Doh!!! I feel your pain. That's why I've stuck with my starting word for what feels like millenia... I just KNOW that the first day I use something else, mine will hit. I'm so sorry you proved my point for me.
