Ashore! Didn't see a thing until I did. Will be celebrating with a Bourbon & Ginger (to start) at the UVA vs Va Tech tailgate in a few hours. Go Hoos!

Got a late start on this one - finished the grid last night and kept Isaac company for a while.
This morning a couple of cups of coffee got it done. Really enjoyed this one!
Ashore and will be having a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc this afternoon

Good Saturday morning muggles

First a thanksgiving welcome to our newest muggle @Beleaguered Castle Always great to have more muggles

And I echo the sentiments of several here about being thankful for this group - caring, generous and more than willing to teach and help.

For those who do the MGWCC which is delayed, there are plenty of other metas including last week's SSS by @BarbaraK and this weeks SSS, MMM and @MikeyG 's Pun of A Kind.

So far we have 13 on the ship, 98 on the shore and plenty of us scrambling around.

Just sat down to the puzzle (having been in Detroit to watch the Lions lose on TGiving Day - nevermind that I’m from Boston, but that’s another story) and happily solved in one sitting. Thanks to @whimsy for filling in and thanks to all of you for being such a supportive group!

13 at the bar or at any table is bad luck, so let's increase the number to 14. Please scootch over gang for another stool. Isaac, can you turn it on to the OSU Michigan game?

Well, I am ashore but not submitting. VERY clever puzzle of course. I needed LOTS of help to see the way but eventually the light flashed on. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

By the way, guess whose TV went out Thanksgiving day? You know what that meant...I experienced the trauma of Black Friday TWICE!!!!!

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Totally lost at sea here with my mother 😛

if anyone could possibly give us a spare oar with which to row to shore that would be greatly appreciated!

She is good company but we are getting hungry :D

Finally ashore! Found the dimly-lit path late last night, phoned a friend for confirmation (thanks for that @Al Laubenstein).Quick row to shore this morning.

Coffee for now, but have a guys afternoon planned with my son, cigars and scotch. I hope he's driving!

Man, that was a clever puzzle! What felt like a dirty trick 24 hours ago turned out to be an unexpected and greatly appreciated Thanksgiving treat!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

I think I have the first step but can’t seem to find the next. I’ll keep dog paddling and hope for some inspiration…

Thanksgiving weekend, joint effort with 6 adult kids home for the turkey. Solved and ashore after noticing one key thing. Not sure why, but Strawberry margaritas to celebrate another fine Shenk puzzle.

Maybe I got hit upside the head with an oar, but I am STILL on the ship, even after the Zoom and getting a nudge. I keep coming back to the initial steps I have and get nowhere. Isaac, if I'm still here tomorrow, line up the Steelers game and some Iron City, please.
