As you ponder potential New Year's resolutions, I figured we could spend some time thinking about a different kind of "goal."

• Difficulty: Medium

• The answer to this week's meta is an NHL team.

• You might need Google. This will largely depend on how well you know NHL teams.

I got it but earned a five-minute major penalty for fighting.

Completed the grid, but so far 8D on the meta. Step 1: google the title to see what the heck it means. Step 2: ???
(Not asking for help. YET. )

EDIT: Post-enlightenment is already striking, just not at the answer yet

EDIT EDIT: Nice one! (and one mark of a great meta IMHO is if someone with NO knowledge of the subject can still solve it)

I took up the offer and have now solved. Not my wheelhouse, but very clever.

I wonder how many people will just submit every team name till they hit it. Seems there’s always someone.

I took up the offer also, very neat puzzle, and I learned a thing or two about hockey teams!

Dino’d with a nudge… Got the first part but needed a bit of a push to get over the finish line. Clever concept and execution, Will, really enjoyed wrestling with this one!
