I quickly saw what I thought was the path to the solution. I mean it's plain to see. Beyond that, I have a reasonable submission, but nothing concrete. I'll submit anyway.

I hope there’s some explanation such as that, because as much as I hate to be critical of what is, after all, a free and fun form of entertainment, this one leaves me cold.

On shore, but only with a tow. Too tired for a drink. So no mug email for me. Kudos to those who figured it out!

Thanks everyone who nudged me to starting point. I’m ashore, but only because of a lot of help, I may have figured it out next week on my own but I was way too crunk after sitting with Isaac for the last few days. I am shocked that my daughter was no help with this! And it should have jumped out at me sooner, also.

Ashore thanks to kind nudgers. I’ll give myself 1/2 credit for this week without submitting. Hoping for a fresh streak starting this Friday!

I don't find any flaws in the construction. But I think there could have been a better title.

I submitted an answer I was like 95% sure of. Now, after reading some comments, I'm wondering if I even did the right puzzle.

Heading for the last hour with no progress yet. Hoping for some post-enlightenment. And if anyone is still reading and wants to send me a little hint, well, I wouldn't refuse it.

Thanks to the people who sent me hints, I got the answer, but I won't be submitting since I don't think I earned it this week. Oddly enough, I also missed a related meta a few years ago (I hope that's vague enough not to be a spoiler). In both cases, I'm thinking, "yeah, I should have gotten it." I'll just have to move beyond it!

I’m on record for being fine with the meta answer being applicable to the gimmick. I can see why others may not be, and want a “tighter” answer.

Keep in mind that there may be more relevant six-letter words, but there are a number of limitations on what letters can be used. After the deadline, we can discuss those limitations and whether there is a “tighter” answer that could work.

A bit salty after being dragged through the sea to the shore that I saw, but gave up on, thinking it was a mirage. Mix of a KAS 2 & 4 for me since I don't think I really can claim I "got" it, but I'm definitely saying "you eeeeediot" to myself.
