I'd have probably liked anything after last week's debacle but this was a legit good meta.

The progress report:
Friday morning - Grid done. Took too long because I'm trying to be more like femullen and avoid Google if possible. Not possible this time. Gotta get some yardwork done.
Saturday morning - See something; can't be a coincidence. Don't have time to keep staring. Yard is calling and thunderstorms are in the forecast.
Sunday morning - That "something" is still bothering me. Why won't it work?!! Oh wait, it does! I'm ON THE SHORE and heading back out to the yard!

Whoopee-do! That was as fun a find as I’ve finally found this year! Bob, move me from ship to shore, and fast please.
Great going Matt.

And that much smaller company, Eliza’s Quest Foods, is right down I-85 in good ol’ Charlotte, NC! (Can’t say that I’ve ever tried this product, or ever will. I’ve been a coffee fanatic for most of my life, even if it is decaf these days!)whimsy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 7:04 pmI just had to Google it because I remember my husband's grandmother drinking it when I first knew him (and her.) It actually does still exist (but no longer as a Kraft product because they did discontinue it.) But some other much smaller company picked up on it and you can now, in fact, get it at Wal-Mart---even next day delivery if you want to pay an arm and a leg!

Done (Thursday) and done (I think) (just now).
Based on the coincidences I've yanked out of this puzzle, it has to be the right answer, but I sure as heck am missing something that's supposed to be leading me to it.
...And just before hitting the "Submit" button, I see what's going on here. Nice puzzle. I can hit the "Submit" button now, feeling much better.

Jealous! I was born in '88 so I never got to see them live but I have a lot of fond memories of listening to the "Singles: 45's and Under" cassette tape in the third row of my parents' Suburban as a kid.Wendy Walker wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2020 7:41 pmSean, fantastic band, saw them in 1981 or so, with Flock of Seagulls as the opening act.

WOW, it just jumped out at me. Saw part of it early on and discounted it as a path. Happily on shore after maxing my credit card with Isaac.

On shore with a submitted answer but I think I have fallen down the deepest rabbit hole ever created in a Gaffney puzzle.
And for the record, neither my husband nor I consider ourselves “geezers”, but we saw 36D, remembered the answer and had a good laugh!

I was in the biggest rabbit hole ever, forever. Wondering if others went down the same path. Will follow up tomorrow.

Can't wait to hear this one! BTW, I live in the far western suburbs of Philadelphia, in rural Chester County. Far enough out to call hoagies "subs."cbarbee002 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 12:39 pm I was in the biggest rabbit hole ever, forever. Wondering if others went down the same path.
