Hi all!

This one definitely shouldn't be a 1! In reviewing the solving rate up to this point, it's seems to be closer to a 4. Also, unfortunately a couple of people ended up partially pageanted, which certainly doesn't make it any easier!

But, even with these little bumps in the road (pun intended) it seems like most people still had a pretty good aha moment. Thanks everyone!!

Out of the box. Another great puzzle, and yes quite a delicious aha moment. It's always fun to dust off brain cells that haven't been used in quite a while. Or at least it is when they still do work.

...and I am very curious to hear about the pageant answer(s).

Don't anybody get nervous; I'd say it's more like a [GRILLED] HAM AND CHEESE than a PAGEANT. I didn't realize I had a partial answer until I was describing my solving process in my submission email to Will.

It definitely helped me when I FINALLY READ the title.

I think this was harder than a 1. But I finally got it.

Either I don't know enough about statistics to solve this, which is likely, or I'm missing something big.

I will note that I don't like solving metas online and I figured out only after I'd already done so that Crosshare lets you print out a nicely formatted PDF version.

Went back and got it in 5 minutes. Was overthinking it.

I always print it out, because I’m an old dinosaur. I like to doodle in the margins, take notes on the back, and generally make a mess of things.
