Enjoyed the acrostic from Mike today.
I also did the NYT acrostic which is the last online acrostic they will publish (and the next to last by Cox And Rathvon in the NYT). I find the NYT acrostic interface superior to that of the WSJ. Since the Times won’t be using it, maybe the Journal can pick it up at a bargain price.
I am hoping that that their retirement from NYT acrostics is not a sign that Cox and Rathvon are retiring from puzzledom. They are the best.

I'm baffled and sad by the NYT Acrostic departure from their website. And the archives are gone - you can't go in to your account and do one from years ago that was there last month.

I don't enjoy acrostics so much, but I'd feel compelled to do them -- so this is kind of a blessing for me. But I don't understand why they and other variety puzzles were taken off the website. Has there been any explanation of that?
