Postcards from the Edge
“Where’s Wendy?” That’s the question posed in this week’s puzzle, which marks my debut as an MMM constructor!
Here’s the back-story: Peter Abide asked me to write the clues for a future puzzle he was creating. I declined, explaining that I’d be away that week on vacation. He idly commented that [name of vacation destination] could actually be a pretty good meta. I took his idea and ran with it . . . and here it is.
I’ll be posting a leaderboard and hints (yes, I made sure I will have a good internet connection). Here’s hoping you enjoy this puzzle as much as I did learning the basics of constructing.
Thank you so much to Abide, for his patience with this rookie; to my test solvers, Al Sisti, Cap’n Rick Kennedy, and Boharr, for their feedback; and indeed to all my Muggle friends for your love, good cheer, and support.
Yes, of course there will be a prize for a randomly selected solver. Odds are good it will bear the meta answer.

Brava WLW wherever you are. It's so satisfying For both constructor and solver when the mechanism, the title, and the answer all fit together as they of course do here.

Well darn Wendy, I'm not seeing it. Maybe time to walk away and come back to it. Love some of your fill though; cheese that is not all there was a favorite, and Yinglish. I'll bet the under 40 crowd had no idea about a sardine can key though!

Same as the good doctor here. Lots of rabbit holes, mostly shallow, with no toehold whatsoever. Will keep noodling...

Two WLWs in single day and both of them gems. Another star has joined the Muggle Constructorverse!
Great job Wendy!

Off the couch!
Thought I’d fallen in a rabbit hole but turned into a short tunnel with light at the end.
Thanks Wendy!
