Got it before nudges! Although, with my meta record this past week, I'd have been grateful to get it any way at all. Thanks for the puzzle!

Oooookay… I’ma need an idiot’s shove. I had seen all that (the nudges), and I have a good long as a result, that is supposed to lead me to the answer I’m sure, but still don’t know the answer!
Oh never mind… sssolved. I saw the first part and guessed correctly on the second.. will see if I can back solve for the second.

Right there with you (Other) Wendy. I think I see all the stuff I'm supposed to see, but have no clue how to solve this. Hard shove?
Edited to add: Sssolved! Post-enlightenment flash of insight. Was seriously overthinking this.

Nope, still drawing a blank...
Edit: SSSolved! (I had to recall "Meta Solving 102". )

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Wow, Crosshare featured Team Wennedy's puzzle, and we have several more solvers. Perhaps yesterday folks were more focused on the plethora of big sporting events going on?

Today is September 11. The events of that Tuesday morning in 2001 are still so vivid it's hard to believe it happened 22 years ago.

Got it post-snooze fest of a Sunday Night Football game (no matter - it was like Christmas all day here, with Dan Snyder having been evicted from town). Sssolved, but not credited since I typed in the answer and accidentally hit the “Give up/Reveal” button (shooting a blank??) Challenging puzzle, Wennedy! Needed the nudges, some back-solvery, but definitely not the “Reveal” button!

Solved, but only with nudges. I was doing it on my phone so I felt lost
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

I made an incorrect guess and then inadvertently clicked on the Give Up/Reveal. Talk about irony!!

There's a give up reveal? And not a seven day wait? If more nudges aren't coming I'll have to use that, I fear.
EDIT: Well, I hit the GIVE UP/REVEAL. Now to spend the next 72 hours trying to decode what the answer means.... This is all very depressing.

So I just plain couldn't get my meta based on "Up the Down Staircase" to work.
My challenge it to constructors is to make a meta where the meta, theme or metanism is "Up the Down Staircase".

Solved with nudges. Now to backsolve the latter 54%.
