First time poster from TN.

Fortunately solved the grid and the meta. Unfortunately already nursing a Gentleman Jack trying to sooth a cough! Happy to be ashore, though. It’s been a hit and a miss lately for me. I always hesitate to post, because I usually only solve the ones everyone finds to be less challenging. (Don’t want to use the E-word…) 😉 Anyway, hopefully this won’t be my last post!

Happy weekend, everyone!

Welcome Kimbo! Stick around and keep posting. You’ll be solving the toughest ones before you know it. No better place to pick up all the tools and tricks, and friendliest crowd around!

Well, this is interesting. I surely have part of the solution. I could force an answer that technically fits but it doesn't quite snap in. No aha. I'll keep searching, in the meantime let's see if our friendly mixologist has any suggestions for a nice libation.

Confidently ashore, but one clue/answer didn’t feel fully resolved. Seems a few others may feel the same. Oh well, it’s too late to fret over. G’nite all. Friday wine time for me tomorrow.

On shore! But now concerned that what I thought was straight forward is actually a trick…

Poor chap. The Black Friday puzzle of last week really took its toll on you! :)

If you're like me and nits drive you nuts, rest assured that this is another clean 100%-er!

As usual, the problem was me, not Matt.

Thanks for another brilliant meta.

On shore, as the day's first light brought true illumination. A Guinness mimosa, I s'pose?

I gotta stop solving these metas...

I found myself hoping - a little too forcefully - that Marge snapped this photo on the Day of April 9th (49D), as if it would give me a 1 in 1,856 chance of winning a coffee mug.

Inventory taken: I have well over 2-dozen coffee mugs in the house (not counting coffee cups), yet I only use the Guinness mug given to me by my daughter, rotated with four Westside Brewing Mug Club beer mugs and an occasional insulated travel Thermos. If I ever host a klatch, I'm covered.

I've to deal with my own THRONGS.

I believe I'm on shore, although like some others, not sure I entirely understand the alleged hint. Nevertheless, in light of the rainy cold weather here, I'll have a Nutty Irishman to start the day, Mr. Barkeep.
