Based on some of the comments, I’ve got a feeling we’ve got a Pageant moment going on.

Maybe. I don't think so though.

But which comments?

Lately I've been forgetting on thurs so I got a late start. It's a 97.2%er so we may be pageanted but... I don't really think so. But, hey, thanks for instilling doubt.
So I just plain couldn't get my meta based on "Up the Down Staircase" to work.

My challenge it to constructors is to make a meta where the meta, theme or metanism is "Up the Down Staircase".

Matt, you shouldn’t have bothered. But thanks! Just what I’ve always wanted. A solid Thursday solve!

I echo @kurtalert 's misgivings. Will consult with the other half of Teamdoubletow once he solves. Maybe he will set me straight?

For now will consider myself ashore on some beach.

But I'm not sure that I particularly love how it answers the question... either it's a phrase or usage that I'm just not familiar with, or the last 1% of me that it's sure I'm right, is right. LOL.

I've got an explanation. It's not the most elegant of answers and lacks a panache I like (but don't always get) in a meta. But it's enough for me to think we are not being pageanted.

Ashore with 75 hours and 45 minutes to spare!!

Unless, of course, I’ve been pageanted.

Wonder if the doubters are too young... or too old.

OK, now I get it. I had the answer but took a while to understand it. Nice!

Ashore!

Took us longer than usual to get started as we went out for an early dinner. So, had Margaritas before solving the puzzle - which might have been a problem if the puzzle were a bit tougher!

On the shore!!
I had a quick, “Oh this can’t be THAT easy, jeez” moment…and as it turns out, no: I was not in fact THAT easy. I mean, still a little easy? But not overly so. You know…there should be, like, a difficulty scale to describe these things… :P

I've been advised that I've been ashore for over an hour, but the sea fog kept me from realizing it. With all the muggles on this beach, I should have been more confident that I was in the right place.

What does “pageanted” refer to? I’ve been on this board for over a year now, but I don’t think I’ve heard of that.
