Done and done. How could this be a pageant. Nah. Famous last words. Nah.

Done as well. Pretty straight-forward for me this week.
I agree with Meg that this really doesn't appear to be a pageant.

Got it -- though slightly concerned about being PAGEANTed. I've submitted. We'll see.

I’m wondering at what point 'pageant' as a verb will make it into the dictionary with our definition. Typically used in passive voice.ChrisKochmanski wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 4:35 pm Got it -- though slightly concerned about being PAGEANTed. I've submitted. We'll see.

Peter did not PAGEANT (active voice!) us. He just confirmed my answer via email. (Or maybe I shouldn't have posted this. Let others agonize over their answer for hours. Heheheheheh.)

I have never had him confirm an answer, but I have never asked. I do think that he will let you know if it is wrong as he has done a few times with me (such that if now I am not certain on an answer, I won't submit so as not to bother him with my guesses).

I didn’t hear back either, but then I didn’t ask for confirmation. I did mention that usually (not this time) his puzzles are haaaard. I meant it as a compliment.

Yes, I asked for confirmation -- because I suspected there may be more to the puzzle, potentially of a PAGEANT nature.
In the PGWCC history to date, Peter has responded to me two or three times, maybe four, but only when I've asked.

Got this one! Nice construction. Gee it's been a while since I solved one of his.

After several hours and a bunch of rabbit holes, I found what others saw so easily!

I'll still haven't found it! Will have to carve out some nice meta time today.

Yeah, yesterday I had nothing -- searching in a way that I thought must be the mechanism -- and today it (the correct mechanism) fell into place nicely. One odd aspect to the puzzle that I'll talk about next week.

Didn't see it yesterday, then looking at the puzzle today, suddenly saw it.
Weird how that works at times.

I ended up dancing around the solution yesterday without realizing it, came oh, so close. My eyes were opened this morning, though.
