Today’s meta has been somewhat delayed. Peter is hopeful that he can get it out later today.

As long as you have your batting averages memorized you'll be fine.

That WAS fun. I'm not even 100% sure I turned in the right answer (all those batting averages, y'know...) but I still liked it a lot. One of my favorite kinds of puzzles, in a very general sense.

Back in the day at the bar, a favorite trivia question was: Who is the only major league baseball player to have committed suicide during the season?
The smart aleck customer would reply: Willard Hershberger.
The smarter guy behind the stick would respond: Yeah, what was he batting when he died?

Got it after sacrificing my PGW solves due to meta fatigue over the past few weeks. Think I still need a nap....on the couch.

Off the bench, or whatever we're saying. This one required a 3-minute "close my eyes and think about taking a nap" interlude, which abruptly ended with a "I coulda had a V8!" head-slap.

Off the bench ... I believe.
Awaiting confirmation from Peter G. My answer sure makes sense. But just to be sure, in case I’m missing something ...

Thought I was, but feared that I might be missing an additional piece ... or something. There was ... something ... that was giving me that feeling. I didn’t need to sweat it.
