Episode #258 Contest: “Puzzle”
There’s a new meta this week!
Title is Puzzle
Guest constructor is Sid Sivakumar
Puzzle is at http://bit.ly/fmi258con
Podcast (for submission instructions and password) is at https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/f ... 0489099934
I’d call it 2 out of 5 on the banana difficulty scale.

Banana peeled!
Just got to this one, catching up with a stack of puzzles after traveling much of the week. I’m displeased with myself that I had to stare at the grid as long as I did before finally catching on.

Posting late, but I got this one quite quickly. Very impressive construction! Good one.

Excellent, Barbara!
I miss the old CHEEZ-IT, before the Sunshine Biscuit Company was sold to Keebler, then Kellogg.
The current CHEEZ-IT are more like the dreaded Cheese Nips (a very weak imitation): too orange, under-baked, and too hard on the stomach.
Worse, they admit that the most requested "variant" is the closer-to-the-original "Extra Toasty". Sadly, they make these seasonal, rather than the norm. Other variants are flavors dusted onto the crackers, not baked in, making them almost as messy as Cheetos, or cheese popcorn.

The prize is a crossword subscription. I get to pick which one. So, decisions, decisions.
It seems like the perfect opportunity to try something new. I'm thinking about American Values. Any comments on that choice or suggestions of something better?

I really wish this puzzle had had a title besides "Puzzle." I was never going to get this without an extra push. (Also, technically midnight is 12 *AM*.) Very cool construction though.

I’ve been an AVX subscriber for years. Always high quality and diversity. I just signed up for Joon's rows gardens and variety puzzles. A new RG every week is just wonderful. Also Fireball is great. Hard choice for you!

Or maybe the Lollapuzzoola puzzles. They talked about the event on the podcast, but they didn’t spoil the puzzles, did they? (I’m actually not positive as I’ve been listening to old episodes too and lose track of what was when.)
