"National Banks" - Beyond Wordplay newsletter
This is from a new website created by Ben Zimmer ("the Oracle" of Fill Me In podcast). At the bottom of this link the meta puzzle resides, available in the usual formats. Author uncredited (as of now). It was a nice, tidy Week 2ish for me, and I deem it muggle-worthy.

The site is just a web page, a meeting place, a clubhouse - it's the group that's special.

Fun puzzle, Peter. Thanks for recommending it. I really enjoyed 31D. At first I thought it was a typo till I saw what was going on.

You are correct, it was fun and I believe I got it, though it was a bit different from the tightly wrapped Gaffneys (and Abides for that matter!). LOTS of stuff a Boomer had to guess at, cross fill or look up thoughAbide wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 10:10 pm This is from a new website created by Ben Zimmer ("the Oracle" of Fill Me In podcast). NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Like sending handwashing stations to the bottom of the ocean?

Nice one. An aspect of it is kinda puzzle-world insidery, if I understand it.

Yes, right up the alley for that audience.

Got it with a little help from a friend.

Pretty easy meta IMHO, and I liked that the clues skewed Gen X & Boston sports.
