On shore. First step came to me easily, the second was more of a struggle. Of course once it's solved, it seems obvious.

TunnelBear is free for the first 500MB each month. You can choose USA or your choice from among multiple countries on each of these continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America. Sorry, no Antarctica yet.benchen71 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:20 pm Did anyone else experience an error when submitting their answer?

Given that I am submitting from outside of the US, I wonder if they have implemented some sort of IP address check?
My cunning plan was, if my name was pulled out of the hat, I was going to supply the US postal address of a friend and then get that friend to send the mug on to me! But maybe that can't happen now, unless I use a VPN...

Turns out the VPN is not necessary, but I can't explain without spoilers. Suffice to say, someone PMed me and now I have submitted successfully.
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Still out to sea, and trying to figure out what to do with what I have discovered.

I have about 10 of Cindy's recipes already...LadyBird wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 1:59 pmWe might need a Muggle cookbook!Cindy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 12:58 pmAh yes. Improve with age cookies. My mom is baking a red velvet cake today for our party tomorrow. My husband already made his mom’s prune cake. We have cookies: peanut butter, maple black walnut, lemon ginger, chocolate mint, coconut macaroons.BarbaraK wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 10:21 pm That was fun! I'm onshore, checking the pantry and making my grocery list to bake @Cindy's Mom's Improve-With-Age cookies, which I learned about from the report on one of her previous Christmas parties. They're perfect for shipping this time of year, when you never really know how long it might take for a package to arrive.
And if you want dinner and not just dessert:
Beef tenderloin with horseradish
Smoked salmon
Pimiento cheese sausage balls
Artichoke collard green dip
Turkey Chorizo fundido dip
French onion chicken
Kofta meatballs with dried cherry sauce
Mushroom croustades
Apple Gorgonzola croustades
Caviar deviled eggs
Julia Child’s chicken liver mousse
Cheese, charcuterie, marinated olives and lots of fun accompaniments

🏖on shore at last !!
After much overthinking, and chasing a couple of rabbits, I had a silly idea for the meta … and it worked! Glad to be on shore !

On shore.
Tough grid for the kids and me tonight. Meta didn't pop out at us as easily as I thought, based on the early posts I read yesterday afternoon. But then... those were posted by those who could post Thursday shortly after 4pm...
Glad we got it. Work was tough this week. And I was up late all week, prepping for a board meeting today. Ready to crash here in our Poconos getaway and sleep all weekend to catch up. Too bad the fiancée's family is arriving tomorrow for us to host a 5-year old's birthday. Oh well.
Hope the 5-year old brings wine.

Ashore. It took a while. It shouldn't have. Once, long ago, I was hired to consult on a project where the other person hired for similar purposes was the guy who created an element of this meta.
