WSJ Mug Winners Roll Call!
Sound off if you have won the coveted WSJ Crossword Contest mug or any other metapuzzle contest (MGWCC, MMMM, AVX, NYT Mega, etc...). I know we have several mug (and other) winners here. You should be recognized for your crossword solving prowess, however, what truly makes you a "champion" is your aptitude for having your name randomly pulled from a hat.
I was the winner of the first WSJ contest of 2019 - "Parts of Town" by Matt Gaffney.
No one drinks from this mug but me, and it does NOT go in the dishwasher!

I won a WSJ mug in 2016, Fireball last November, and MGWCC several times - one weekly and three monthly. MGWCC gives out so many prizes, everyone who solves regularly eventually wins. Except Cindy, of course, who has the world's most amazing non-winning MGWCC streak going.
An MMMM mug would be such a lovely addition to my set. Maybe next month!

The odds are good on the MGWCC contest, and I've won it a few times, including a time where Cindy -- who strangely never wins this one, despite her enviable record of solves -- gave me a nudge for the answer -- and so I sent her the notepad prize and kept the pen. The odds are hardest on the WSJ mug. I for one am always thrilled when it is one of the Muggles who wins.

This is the MGWCC pad, pen & pencil, which goes to weekly and monthly winners.
I was an MGWCC gold medal winner in 2017. Prizes included a lovely portfolio and a pen!

My husband and I won the Muller Monthly Music Meta with our first submission, in Jan 2015.

Yay! Congratulations! The next best thing to winning myself is seeing a fellow muggle win.

I've gotten 6 MGWCC monthly prizes, but still no mug despite about 160 correct answers here. And I'm expecting my MGWCC gold medal package soon for 2018. However with the rule changes, this will likely be my only one.

I have won a WSJ mug once, the MGWCC weekly and monthly each a couple of times, but not the Mueller.

I won the WSJ mug back in March of this year for the City Folk puzzle (starring the infamous Teri Garr). Mike Miller's email said the mug would arrive in 4-6 weeks, but it actually got here in two days. It came with a nice little card extolling my skill in being randomly chosen from hundreds of people. I keep it on display in my home office so everyone knows I am not to be bothered at 4 pm on Thursdays.
Here's what it looks like:

My MGWCC 2018 gold medal prizes came yesterday!
Not sure if you can tell from the photo, but the pen has a built in flashlight. That's so I can do crosswords in bed without waking my husband, right - the perfect prize for a puzzle addict.

You'll probably start winning every month now to catch up for the last two years.
