Congrats on the mug!! Ummm… you DID reply to that email as well as post about it here, right? It’s just a tad unusual for Mike Miller to not have posted the results by now if the winner has responded.escapeartist wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 2:27 pmHOLY CARP I WON THE MUG THIS WEEK!escapeartist wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2022 12:22 am I got this, but thought about it differently.
Take ATOM, I saw as "find a word from "a - TO - m", like they were orders.
Same result, different perspective on the title.
Gimme that mug!

Hello, sorry for the tad unusual delay and the unusually truncated update on a busy week, but didn't want to let any more time elapse without an update! A popular and successful contest this week: 1457 entries, 85% correct. Congrats to this week's winner: Tristan Seres of Rochester, Mich.! Fuller reports in future weeks!

Had a fun long weekend in South Carolina this weekend so didn't have enough time for this one. Despite seeing the four "to"'s immediately and also guessing at the correct mechanism, I somehow missed it. I introduced two scientist friends to the puzzle and hopefully hooked them. Have a great day everyone

Is that the 2nd winner from Rochester (or at least somewhere in northern Oakland County) in about the past month?MikeMillerwsj wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 9:49 am Hello, sorry for the tad unusual delay and the unusually truncated update on a busy week, but didn't want to let any more time elapse without an update! Ha! There could be a dozen in a row from the same place on the east coast and I likely wouldn't notice. Just make sure you and the other winner aren't using up SE Michigan's allotment for the next decade or so...

In my original post, I assumed that "Oxygen" would be the most popular incorrect answer. I would have liked to know how many guessed it, but oh well.MikeMillerwsj wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 9:49 am Hello, sorry for the tad unusual delay and the unusually truncated update on a busy week, but didn't want to let any more time elapse without an update! It means your chances are either super-duper high for the coming weeks, or it'll never happen for you in a million years. No in-between.Berto wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 7:05 amI live in Oakland Twp, does that mean I now have a snowball’s chance in of winning a mug

There is a three time winner. A nice article in WSJ about her, not Back-to-back however.
