Toes in the sand. Enjoyable fill and a fun solve. A tequila cranberry cocktail, por favor.

Ashore! It’s a rainy afternoon in the Bay of Bengal – a perfect day to enjoy this classic.

It's Friday morning at 7:00. I just this very minute realized that yesterday was meta-day. Someone should probably call an ambulance. Anyway, tell the EMTs that I'm on shore.
Happy to give nudges. If you notice I've solved, please tell me about avenues you've explored so I can nudge you in the right direction and not off a cliff.

Got a good night's sleep and the answer popped out in the morning. Black coffee in the cabana.

It's called A Night at the Wax Museum. It's an annual tradition for some of the faculty here to put on a play, mostly to amuse the students and raise some money for scholarships. Call was at 5:00, so I was going to see how far I could get with the puzzle and come back to it later in the weekend if necessary - but I guess I'm free now to focus on all my other to-do list items.
Call is at 5:00 again tonight, so I won't be able to join the zoom call, but it sounds like it might not be a large crowd.
Bespoke nudges available upon request (if I'm on shore).
Let me know how small or large a hint you want, or hit me with a specific question(s).

Didn't get time to look at this until this morning.
This puzzle is so clean! There is no awkwardness. Very slick. I'm running out of ways to say well done, Mike!![😄](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/twitter/twemoji@latest/assets/svg/1f604.svg)

Ashore in Maryland, here to attend the Annapolis Cup on Saturday. For more information, see www.sjc.edu/events/croquet. As a Johnnie parent, I say: Beat Navy!
