Finished the grid Thursday night. Just submitted my meta answer. After a few weeks of unsure submissions, I feel pretty confident I am onshore.

I’ll admit to frustration over the last three or four weeks. But after slapping my head at the correct answers and mechanisms, some of it has started to sink in. 😁

There are many rabbit holes, but not one has produced a rabbit so far. Pour me a double, Isaac.

Ashore, with no Cubs game to watch. Way to go, Cards. Boo!

I was at the game the day this was on the marquee. Confused as heck by it until the movie came out, then a big cheer.

I found the crossword puzzle difficult this week, having never heard of the genre of music, the painter, or the university. Fortunately, those answers fell with the crosses. And, I am glad to report that I am safely ashore and practicing social distancing at the Tiki Bar.

I feel like the first time I ever looked at one of these metas....totally clueless, seeing nothing, with no idea where to look. It makes me wonder how I ever solved them all this time.

Whew, I'm clear, as I have no clue whatsoever about the solution. Pour me a double, Isaac.

Inca and Dplass, believe me, that is EXACTLY how I felt yesterday and overnight, and I am usually a fairly early solver. But I finally got the meta answer at lunchtime today! Keep looking. Keep thinking. It'll be interesting to hear on Monday about how people saw what was going on and realized what they had to do.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

LAS. Could use a nudge. Stuck in a hole and not getting the aha moment in spite of several breaks and multiple grid fills. I may be fixated on the wrong idea but cannot find another thing to try.

On the beach.

After three misses, I was beginning to despair.

It says "Quick Reply," but I'm not sure who I am replying to. I just wanted to post my thing. I'm not quite sure how to do it. I'm planning to join the Tuesday Muggles Zoom thing that I've heard talk on the street about. So, I wanted to dedicate this song.

I haven't figured out the meta yet, BTW. I just wanted to do my song. And I hope all my old faves are there on Tuesday. You see, I wanted to belt this song out as an amusing entrance to our Zoom, but I've practicing and it cannot be done. So you just have to do the video and the lyrics.

Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet.
To go over everything.
They say that solves are supposed to mug you, but I ain't done much mugging.

Hello, can you hear me?
I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be.
When we were younger and free
I've forgotten how it felt before the WSJ posted a fee
There's such a difference between that and this better site

Hello from the other site.  I've must have emailed a thousand times.
To tell Mike that I solved it and everything that I've done.
But when I check the email, I never do get that mug.

Hello from the other site.  At least I can say that I tried.
To tell you that I'm sorry for being that one
Who makes annoying parody of songs, that been done.

But it don't matter it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

(So that's why I have to go on your Zoom meeting - because you're not all torn apart about my absence.)

I’m still at the bar. But shout out to the long suffering significant others who don’t understand. My husband becomes very concerned every weekend as to how long I will be absented from family life. And as hard as I try to explain he still doesn’t even understand the meta concept. C’est la vie.

This is wonderful!! I was just thinking how I've been missing your songs. And how when you started doing them way back when, it inspired me to try some too, but lately I haven't done any either.

Welcome back to the original muggle songstress!

And hope there are many more to come.
