Hey, Isaac, can you put the French Open finals on the bar TV, please? Yeah, I finished the grid but don’t have the meta solution yet. Still have 2 more days, though! Macchiato for now when you get a chance.

Ashore, but after much more struggling than was necessary. By far, the most underused tool in my toolbox is Occam's Razor, the Overthinker's Friend. Sometimes Occam helps at the end of the solve, to close the deal; sometimes in the middle, to tweeze out that elusive second step of a mechanism. This particular case is one of many (for me) wherein the right time to have deployed Occam is about ten seconds after completing the grid. If only. How much time that would have saved! This is a great meta, and a superb example of the Golden Rule of Meta Construction, which is that there is no Golden Rule of Meta Construction. Hats off to Mr. Shenk for a classically unclassic, but unclassically classy, meta.

A couple months into this newfound addiction. Still chilling at the ship bar, hoping to make it to the beach.

The only meta I've solved so far was my first one: Connect Four on May 5th.
