This post only added to the intrigue. I finally solved the mystery. The cat is on the loose.Bird Lives wrote: ↑Wed Feb 01, 2023 2:25 pm Awaiting Copenhagen confirmation, confidently. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to let the cat of the Baskervilles out of the bag.

Cat is out of the bag...now to go back and "puzzle and puzzle until my puzzler gets sore" on the MMM and MOAT.

Well, a hint and I achieve.... no, I will resist....
I think I have it.
I think I have it.
So I just plain couldn't get my meta based on "Up the Down Staircase" to work.
My challenge it to constructors is to make a meta where the meta, theme or metanism is "Up the Down Staircase".

I'm officially stumped. Absolutely no clue what to do with this one!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta! ![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Waiting for confirmation, but fairly confident that the Cat is out of the bag.
Fun one, took me putting it down and coming back to it.

Cat is stuck. I'll wait for official nudges or inspiration or the fire department. Whichever comes first.

The cat was successfully nudged out of the tree, no fire department necessary.
Thanks Josh and welcome back!

Good one Josh, even if I had to use an electronic helper to put me on the right track.

NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Got it with the nudges, though in retrospect I should have followed through more thoroughly after nudge 2. Fun, thanks.
