MEOW #124 Bill Collector

A weekly meta crossword on the forum started by member Josh (aka madhatter5). These puzzles are often very creative with solving mechanisms out of the norm and skewing towards the more challenging. Puzzles are posted every Wednesday, and the solution appears the following Tuesday.

Now I have always wondered; when an ERGCAT is released is that considered time to dyne? :o

Cat leapt out at 5.25am during a bout of insomnia (not helped by positioning of the dog.. maybe helped scare the cat out though!!)

A classic but I have to:

My girlfriend and I went out to eat. She ordered the duck, but I was left with the bill!

(I quack myself up.)

Better go to the ATM ("amazing Tom meta") if I'm going to pay this bill...thanks for the puzzle!!

Well I suppose they need an occasional head slap, just don't have us call ASPCA!

Don't call the ASPCA: the head slap was me slapping myself, not the cat. And don't call the ASPCH either...

ASPCH, if that agency exists one would never be able to get through on their phones because they would be WAY too busy.

Day 2 and it is another good one. Eleven more solvers today and no nudges have even been posted!

This puzzle is doing as good as Play Dough and it isn't even as well constructed. Boy I am going to get spoiled. I'm now kind of anxious to see what tomorrow brings. I don't know how people are doing on the WSJCC; I have not even looked at it yet because I save it for the morning, but if it is a bear I know that I won't see much MEOW activity until it is done.

Anyway, thanks to today's solvers and let us see what tomorrow brings.
