Any thoughts about how AI (not Al) might enhance or diminish the meta puzzle creation and especially solving experience going forward?

A lot of staring this morning and was literally one step away from shore for a long, long time. But solidly made the final connection. Terrific puzzle. White Oak Casual Jesus will be the celebration libation tonight.

All I can say is...WOW.
On what I thought was my third and fourth meta steps (I lost count), I finally got it.

Might be the most rabbit holes I've ever seen in a puzzle.

Ashore!
Lots of rabbit holes. I need to get better at moving on when they do not become productive.

On the ship down here in Ft. Lauderdale for my niece’s wedding. Not sure when I will get back to staring at this one. So many things to see!

Still at sea, struggling to find more than four letters.

Doh! Now I've got it. Just had to pay attention.

Oh heck, all of my intelligence is artificial and it has not helped one bit.

Satisfying!

Still relaxing on the boat and enjoying Isaac's mixological magnificence. Feel like I see a first step or two but haven't been able to move from there. Some days are just like that.

And the light comes on! Bob, count me (finally) among the shore party. About to head out to a nice Mexican place specializing in moles. That's "MOE-lay" sauces, not burrowing rodents. I'll toast Matt's evil genius with a nice Margarita!

Stuck. Like others before me, I see a first step but I haven't figured out what to do next.

Finished a new book galley today that reminded me of all the meta-fans out there - The Twyford Code by Janice Hallett. In it, the main character is searching for lost treasure via anagrams and acrostic codes hidden in an old children's book... but the story is even more meta than that. Can't say more because SPOILERS. But I highly recommend it to all ya'll!

Too bad the book didn't give me any enlightenment for Gaffney's meta. :?

Felt like I was on a life raft the last 2 days with the Sunday night last call sharks circling...but spotted land a few minutes ago and managed to row row row my boat ashore.
