Bob, I was "ashore in Schiphol" after a puzzle-solving flight. And what a nice puzzle it was. Spent time in many time zones working on it. Isaac was on the plane, true, but I had to leave him behind when we arrived in Amsterdam.

So weird how the grid just looks like a crossword puzzle until the moment it becomes the meta......

I feel like I'm so close, but I'm still struggling at sea. I'm three steps into what I hope isn't a rabbit hole, but I can't get the next step.
As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all — the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them.

Ashore! Rain is gone,
Gone dark clouds that had me blind,
Bright sunshiny day!

On shore! Family effort so even more fun! We loved this one. As usual Mike Shenk lays it out there and his titles make sense after the fact! Not sure where his clue in the grid was? We are on the sand with a Corona in hand! Mug me please!!

Finally made it on shore after a fitful solve. I feel like the victim of a Dad Joke.

@Bob cruise director, Relic reporting in from the bar with Isaac and a couple others. Appears I'll be here awhile. Need to run some errands. With a helpful nudge I got step one but stuck on where to go next. Continuing on, following the advice given in 36A.
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

I need to keep looking and setting aside.

Finally ashore...I had the mechanism and finally found the wrinkle. A great one. Thanks Mike.

On your recommendation I looked back at my (solved) puzzle but had missed the *blinking* info symbol at the top - I think that’s a newer feature that I noticed with the Thurs puzzle this week too. Thanks for the tip!!! I think I see everything but want to look at it a little more before I read about it.

Ashore after the tiniest nudge from the zoomers. Thanks so much. I'll take a night cap.

On shore, finally! The answer was staring at me all weekend, but I refused to see it until just now.
Overthinking is my super power.

Ashore! Looked again after a long weekend, and was able to figure it out. Have a great day everyone!
