Me too. I feel like I really should have gotten it. But I didn't. I suppose that's a good puzzle that seems obvious in hindsight. (Sure is frustrating at the time though.)

Solution:

Put the text of the introductory post into the grid and you spell out the answer, "It's an honor", which is something you might say when being introduced.

The funny story was that I had the whole thing ready to go when, the morning of release, I realized this was puzzle #77, not #78 as I had originally thought. So I had to redo the grid.

Yup.... because the Preamble to the Constitution certainly wasn't doing it....

Ah, that’s it. I thought you needed extra time to proofread your clues…

i tried just the word INTRODUCTION over and over. That’s a lot of introductions. Surely you could make a phrase from those letters!

omg this is hilarious. i didn't get it, but i applaud it. best i could come up with was, "i'm clueless". and i was.
