For the first time ever I remembered this puzzle gets published around 3 my time on Thursday and despite having a meeting I sat on the wsj puzzle site and kept hitting refresh until it came up. Finished the grid in under 20 minutes and started looking for the meta and thought, "let me see if i have a chance for page 1". Nope. I chuckled. You guys are absolutely brilliant! I'll look at this after work.

Ashore; it took me awhile to stop trying to make "DIVIDEITBYTWO" into one word and fit it into the boxes for 55-across....
