On shore - I think

my answer totally works nice and neat and I'm about 95% sure of it

but it has me scratching my head though - either I'm way off the mark or there are going to be a lot of unhappy muggles Monday morning that didn't get it.

Last week’s meta was proclaimed to be clever by some of the early solvers, and it took me 3 days of staring and thinking to figure out what I needed to do. So, maybe another 2 days of work will allow me to solve this one. For now, Bob, I’m on my usual stool at Isaac’s.

On the beach with a Guinness within reach.
One of my favorite Matt Gaffney metas.
A joy to solve this one, contrary to the title claim!

On shore. Traveling today, so had hotel print a copy for us. Solved pretty quickly, but missed page 1 ( and 2 and 3)

I listen to the waves as they slap against the hull of the speedboat. Behind me, the great ship disappears into the distance. I know that many are still on the ship as many are on the shore in front of me. I close my eyes and listen to the sound of the boat and think about what lies before me, friends, food and drink and the celebration of the solution. I find myself heading ... on shore

99% on the correct beach, submitted, I still need to finish the proof, but it has to be what I think it is.

Okay, so I downloaded this one after a 12-mile early-morning hike and poked at it for a bit, but I badly needed a long nap to bring the little gray cells back to life, after which I swam lazily into shore. And now I’m looking for the cabana boy: I need coffee and a Danish!

After a very long hiatus…back to sailing and back to the beach. On shore for this one. 😊
Don’t bother me until I’ve had my coffee and done the crossword.

Well, the title so far is proving itself to me. Maybe Isaac can serve up some liquid intelligence...

Homer Buckle wrote: Thu Oct 21, 2021 4:44 pm Got to shore quicker this week than last. Nice puzzle.

I dreamed last night that the puzzle came out and the long across answers were titles of past puzzles and I had to dig up the old puzzles to find the answers. Does this suggest I am addicted and need therapy?
I believe PGWCC and MMMM (or maybe MMM) both did this.
