Egad, am I the only one seriously out of date on exclamations? I have the answer, but still scratching my head about the things you young folks say nowadays.

I have an answer that seems to fit, but I think I'm missing just one piece. Not sure if that means I'm wrong or that it just hasn't fallen into place yet. But the mechanism I've come up with is so clean for all the other pieces! If I can't come up with something else, I'm counting myself probably ashore

Edit: I submitted. It seems too good to be wrong!

I think I’m on shore, enough of an idea, but not a 100% click just yet. Will sleep on it - on the beach of course…

A Gaffney Gulp after the grid and a momentary blank stare... but now on the shore with an exclamation! The internal gears were turning to finish off this one, but very creative and enjoyable. Going to the tried and true to celebrate: Destihl Haze of the Dead.

Ashore! Got it fairly quickly. one part didn’t seem to fit the mechanism as neatly as the others but it felt right enough to submit. Brandy Old Fashioned anyone?

DaveKennison wrote: Thu Oct 21, 2021 9:01 pm Okay, so I downloaded this one after a 12-mile early-morning hike and poked at it for a bit, but I badly needed a long nap to bring the little gray cells back to life, after which I swam lazily into shore. And now I’m looking for the cabana boy: I need coffee and a Danish!
I took a walk (only 1 mile, but I took my 14 lb cat with me in his backpack) and a nap, but it didn't help. Any other suggestions?

Funny and fun, and all done. All the rest of the comments I would like to make are spoilers. :)

Don't let the puzzle know you're looking at it. Sneak peeks from odd angles from time to time and you may snare the rabbit before he has a chance to hide.

I see some things. I assume tomorrow I will see more things. Out on the ship‘s deck by the railing, squinting into the distance. 🔭

Ashore. 🏝️ Spent a while shaking sand out of my trunks before approaching the bar due to a minor inelegance / unwarranted assumption.

This one will probably either come to you or not. Luckily it emerged for me before I finished the grid. On shore!

On shore I believe, thanks to hubs who looked at grid and saw mechanism almost immediately. He is usually a bit meta-challenged so says he is now gonna retire while he’s ahead 🤣

Agree with those who say one item is odd…..
