Done and seemingly done. Still waiting for the click, though.
If I'm around, I am willing to join the Muggle Zoom room at other times to lend a hand to those in need.

I'm sure I'm on shore, but there's one part I'm not quite getting.

Go Chiefs!

Ashore, after (for me) three bona fide Aha moments. (The experts may have had just one or two.) This meta was well done and richly rewarding in the solving of it. A lot of time spent almost there, or so I thought.

Still asea. Chased two interesting rabbits to no avail. Will try again in the a.m.
Meanwhile, Isaac, please pour me a Jack Daniels Triple Mash, neat.
Then off to bed. Hoping for Friday enlightenment.
Good luck to all for a successful solve. If you see that I'm ashore - rare occasion of late - message me if you'd like a nudge. Be sure to include your progress so I can know better how to assist.

Whoa!

That took me forever! Needed four shoelaces and a manual in tying knots but I got it all. Whoosh.

So, I'll have this drink I came up with tonight. Squeeze a quarter wedge of a Rangpur lime, add 3 oz. tequila, then 3 oz. pineapple juice, and then 6 oz. Bundaberg ginger beer. What should I call that drink. Whatever it's called, I'll have that.
So I just plain couldn't get my meta based on "Up the Down Staircase" to work.

My challenge it to constructors is to make a meta where the meta, theme or metanism is "Up the Down Staircase".

Ay caramba! That was a trek and a half!! G & T me immediately, barkeep!!!
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Did the grid and looked once then put it away for an hour. Came back and found the answer. Ashore!

Ashore.
What an interesting meta! After some time playing around with interpretation of the title last night, solving buddy @Bob cruise director and I saw the light and flew through this one without interruption or need of intermediary nudges.
How does MG come up with gems like this one week after week?!(interrobang).
