Warren Piece
Ahoy Muggle Mateys!
I'm very pleased and honored to be back with my second MMM puzzle - "Warren Piece"! If you're wondering how I came up with this particular title, well, it’s a long story.
I'd again like to thank @Abide, @Al Sisti, @AnswerPfinder, @boharr, and @Joe Ross for their reviews and technical help. And I'd like to extend a special thank you to @whimsy for her unique perspective and comments!
The answer to this meta is a first name.

Off the couch! Fun puzzle, Rick.
Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

I leapt off the loveseat. I love how you get instant feedback from Crosshare. And nobody criticizes you for wrong answers.

The instant feedback for sure is a blessing!
The feedback last night: "Vandono, keep guessing."
The puzzle itself was fun and I saw some things... but still relaxing on the sofa.

I like Crosshare because I can finish the puzzle in 3 seconds! I like doing puzzles, but the meta is what I am after.
On another note, I think the header graphic on "Diary of a Crossword Fiend" is fairly new. I noticed that it has a mechanical pencil on it. I was a bit surprised. I do almost all my crosswords on paper and I use a pen all the time. I think the only thing I use a pencil for is carpentry.

Slid right off the sofa... That was a 27D, Cap'n Rick! Keep 'em coming!
[P.S. And love the punderful title, too.]

Off the couch!
I love how this all fit together. Nicely done.

Did the grid, saw some things right away but stuck on next step. I’ll stay on the couch and ponder some more…

Edit: Jumped of the couch (hopefully). Had to correct one piece of my solve.

I seem to be in a meta slump these days - haven't cracked this one yet (though I see a few things) but wow amazing construction!
