My neighbor just rescued 2 cats this week, so while the cat is out here, 2 other cats now have a home across the street.

A few nudges just in case there's anyone left who would like to get up and recite --

The title indicates that the meta answer needs to be inferred; implied, rather than arrived at by picking precise letters out of the grid.
The four long somewhat unusual themers are definitely what you want to be noticing.
The meta answer is two words long.
The first part of the themers give you the first word of the answer and the second part should help you toward the second half.
The noisy "Light My Fire" group in the center of the grid is one further hint.

Finally got a moment to work on this. Needed the first nudge to pull me out of a rabbit hole. Nice job, whimsy!

Time to clear the decks in preparation for a new kitty adventure tomorrow!
And @KayW is here to do the honors -- Thanks, Kay!

Portions of the first part of the themers gave us things associated with poetry, and the ending of each denoted a robust, noisy action/sound. Likewise, the Doors of the central across entry suggested slamming. The title mirrored the two words of the answer with "Recitation" reinforcing the poetry aspect and "Implication" helping the solver know that the answer would be inferred rather than literally spelled out.

And because so many of us had to confess to never having attended one, Kay wanted to rectify that and so found this for us --

Enjoy! As I hope you did the puzzle too -- Thanks for playing!
