This is from a new website created by Ben Zimmer ("the Oracle" of Fill Me In podcast). At the bottom of this link the meta puzzle resides, available in the usual formats. Author uncredited (as of now). It was a nice, tidy Week 2ish for me, and I deem it muggle-worthy.

Indeed, a fairly light lift. But enjoyable!

Fun puzzle, Peter. Thanks for recommending it. I really enjoyed 31D. At first I thought it was a typo till I saw what was going on.

You are correct, it was fun and I believe I got it, though it was a bit different from the tightly wrapped Gaffneys (and Abides for that matter!). LOTS of stuff a Boomer had to guess at, cross fill or look up though

Like sending handwashing stations to the bottom of the ocean?

Nice one. An aspect of it is kinda puzzle-world insidery, if I understand it.

Yes, right up the alley for that audience.

Pretty easy meta IMHO, and I liked that the clues skewed Gen X & Boston sports. ;)
