"For Instance"
Good morning!
If, for instance, solving the MGWCC week four is proving to be time consuming and labor extensive (which it was for me), why not take a brief breather with another, perhaps more straightforward puzzle, for instance this week's MMM - 'For Instance'.
It's my fourth puzzle, cobbled together back in February when covid caught up with me and allowed me the time, but perhaps not the brains, to attempt constructing another puzzle. To me it seems that it rates as a week 1.5 on the MGWCC scale. But, as I've learned, you can't tell until you get feedback from solvers. So, get to it! Let me know what you think. Keep in mind that I'm in a different time zone, 7 hours ahead of EDT, so if you choose to PM I might respond at odd times. You can solve and comment on Crosshare as well.
The meta answer is an item on a list.
As always, thanks to Peter Abide the MMMaster, to Al Sisti – puzzle tester par excellence, and to Joe Ross - Excel wizard and technical mainstay.
I'll post a leaderboard throughout the week and nudges if necessary on Wednesday.
Good luck solving and I hope you enjoy.

Off the couch. Thanks for sharing your fun puzzle with us all!
Now back to fruitlessly staring at the MGWCC...

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

At the risk of repetition, a nice antidote to the MGWCC to get off the couch… Thanks Schmeel!

Could be a "moo" point, but I am off the couch --
Thanks, Schmeel -- Nice smooth fill on the grid, and I'd say, right on with the 1.5.

"Crosshare is a free, ad-free, and open-source place to create, share and solve crossword puzzles."
@Schmeel's For Instance Crosshare link above takes you there. Crosshare's great because it provides a feature to check meta answers instantly.
Give it a try!
