Week 3ish, I think. BTW, I just checked out Evan's blog to see if there is a "submission" kind of contest deal. There's not, and in fact he seems to post solutions and discussion of his Sunday crosswords (including this meta) on his blog the very morning the puzzle runs.

Well the grid was a doddle. Still working on the meta. Thanks for posting!

I have the answer! If you fold a piece of paper in 1/2 and you put a list of things on one side and another list of things on the other side, you will not see how one list relates to the other list.

Just found this discussion and printed the grid. When I was printing, I was given the option to print it with the solution. :-/

Going around in circles, grasping at some promising but half-baked ideas. To increase the degree of difficulty, I solved the grid on my phone, and the square numbers are partly obscuring the letters.

Grid was a LOT easier than Dark Secrets but I don't have the meta answer yet!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Got it after a (big) push . . . clever and enjoyable. Still need to confirm but the answer is a lock.

Unbelievable ... after days of writing gibberish, I finally got the answer after a huge and completely inadvertent assist from Mark, my "significant (and now even more so) other" Mark!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Got it -- but only with a shove. I don't recall a Washington Post meta ever being so involved. Good one!
