"Surround Sound" - March 2020
The meta for this puzzle is a six-word line from a Jimmy Buffett song.

I'm not a fan either, so had to use Google on the meta. Found the grid challenging but enjoyable.
Congrats to forum member Tmart on getting the mega-meta after only two months!!

Thanks - I have my moments. But now my hastily-submitted flub from last month will be front and center when I have one less correct answer than the other two correct guessers!
This month was right in my wheelhouse - I'm a huge Jimmy Buffet fan. Perfect tiki bar music!

Got it! I didn't start the MMMM until May last year, so it's nice to have a few months of these easier puzzles.

Well this is a new one to me. When I open the emailed link for the PDF on my computer, there's an extra black square, so 53A is just two letters and 34D is split in two parts. When I click the link for that same email on my phone, the extra black square is not there.
Glad I'd taken a look at the .puz before I printed it.
17 is really a thing??

I saw the same thing, and really got hung up on it thinking it was significant to the meta, but it must just be a typo.BarbaraK wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 4:06 pm Well this is a new one to me. Thank you for posting this. I thought it may have something to do with the meta. And yes, 17 is a thing!BarbaraK wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 4:06 pm Well this is a new one to me. I'm on the board! Thank you so much BarbaraK, or I would have fretted over this way too much!

Damn people already solved the mega, I haven't looked at it, now I'll have to if I have some free time. I had to google this meta but it was cute so not begrudging an answer I would've never gotten otherwise.

Sorry for the mess-up on the pdf file.
I was in the mountains with poor connectivity when I got the heads-up there was an issue, which made it particularly frustrating for me, since I couldn't address it until a little while ago.
Apologies for any stress this caused!
Pete
