The spider has crawled back to its web and the cat, well Catvis has left the building!
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Hi all,
Sorry I just got back into the site Here are the links:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
http://crossword.info/madhatter5/World_Wide_Web
This one is a Persian. The answer to the meta is a species of spider. If people don't have enough time for solving due to the delay we'll just extend the puzzle for a week
Good luck!

(Shades of Schmeel's MMM also -- was anyone else confused about what puzzle they were working on? )

Got the cat untangled from the web I believe - it's now watching the spider with fascination.

Got it! But with help. So I won't enter. To enhance the winning chances of the deserving.
I'm of two minds with this puzzle. I enjoyed the experience, and I applaud Josh's willingness to stretch the boundaries, with unusual formats, two-letter entries, single-letter stragglers, etc., etc. His best puzzles remind me of the best of PGWCC. (Please return, Peter!) OTOH, I like that other metas (WSJCC, MGWCC, MMMM, most MMMs) stay within the "rules".

If I can add my own two cents - I cannot for the life of me understand the no-two-letter-entry rule. Can someone please explain why that exists?ChrisKochmanski wrote: ↑Fri Mar 19, 2021 9:19 pm Got it! But with help. So I won't enter. To enhance the winning chances of the deserving.

Ah yes sure I was gonna post them tomorrow because it felt strange posting nudges the day after posting the puzzle. But these are strange times.

^^^ Same. Glad I didn't go ahead with my incorrect guess. Knowing nothing about constructing, this one looks like a lot of work went into it. Nice!

I needed help and got into some scary areas in my search. I was WAY off but found my way eventually.
Very clever!

Solved, but only with the nudges. I have this horrible phobia when it comes to spiders!! When I first started the puzzle, I was doing some googling and saw way too many pictures of spiders!!🕷

Wow, very cool! I needed the first nudge. This is a fascinating creature! I enjoyed reading about it.
Good luck, fellow Muggles!
